My biography::

Ms. Boyd was born and raised in Chicago and in the west suburbs. The daughter of a Chicago police officer and teacher, she graduated from Whitney Young High School with a strong desire to follow her mother's footsteps and enter the classroom. Yet she deferred this dream for some time and focused on other interests- history, psychology, Spanish, and music- until finally making her way home to Chicago Public Schools where she was always meant to be. She believes it is her path in life to work with and uplift students of color by providing them access to quality education in order to narrow an ever-widening gap in our country and by being a compassionate leader for our youth.
